🎄🎅 ODIHAM CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA 2023 🎅 🎄
The Odiham Christmas Extravaganza is the largest annual event in the Odiham calendar and has been held in various formats for about 20 years. It’s main aim is to support our local retailers and to give the local community a chance to socialise in our beautiful High Street. There will be a formal switching on of the Christmas tree lights, and it is the first evening we’ll see the lovely Christmas lights in all their glory along the length of the High Street.
Most of our local shops will be opening for you and added to this we will have a range of gift stalls which include locally carved wood products, fused glass, pet supplies as well as clothing, jewellery, personalized Christmas decorations, candles and knitted and crocheted items. There will also be a selection of edible treats, including freshly roasted coffee beans, charcuterie, olive oil, cheeses, biltong, and even dog friendly cakes. An ideal opportunity to start your Christmas shopping. You can even get your Christmas tree!
Of course, there are all our High Street hospitality venues serving fabulous food and drinks and there will also be a range of stalls selling such things as paella, hog roast and street food. To quench your thirst we will have locally produced wines, gins and of course warming mulled wine. You will be serenaded through the afternoon by seasonal entertainment – singing from the local school children, music from the Cove Brass Band and our own RAF Odiham Military Wives Choir. There will be a few fairground rides and you can make a visit to Father Christmas’s Grotto.
The Extravaganza is seen as a community family event, a chance to enjoy our beautiful High Street in it’s Christmas finery, be entertained and support our local businesses.
